Information Architecture
The Internet has brought a new environment for communication and with it a new set of design challenges. We believe that designing for the web has less in common with traditional graphic design and shares more of the qualities of architecture or industrial design. Just as architects cannot only be concerned with the aesthetics of their buildings neither can web designers create simply graphic solutions. Truly effective web design needs a new type of design discipline.
This discipline requires a design approach, which takes into account the concerns of construction, engineering and ultimately the ergonomic concerns of Human Computer Interaction. H.C.I put simply, is the study of how people use computers and is fundamental to our creative approach.
Just as a user has a physical place within a building designed by an architect, a user of your website has an equally physical experience. Rather than interacting with entrances, walls and doorways they interact with information and the pathways which link this information.
Our architectural process draws a blueprint that defines the overall structure of your site. It also represents the sound principals of construction, do it once, do it right. From this blueprint we can form a solid foundation for the scalable development of your online ambitions, which is capable of responding to your changing needs.
